Vendi research guides StraighterLine's brand decision

A leading provider of online education solutions, StraighterLine acquired two early childhood education training companies within two short years. This rapid growth presented a strategic challenge—should they maintain distinct brands or consolidate under the StraighterLine umbrella? To guide their decision, StraighterLine partnered with the higher education marketing experts at Vendi for an in-depth research initiative. This research included both B2B and B2C audiences within the early childhood education vertical.

Qualitative and quantitative research measures brand awareness and perception

Vendi marketing researchers conducted in-depth interviews to better understand brand awareness and perception among key national accounts. The research looked at:

  • Customer satisfaction
  • Quality and variety of training
  • Learning Management System 
  • Reporting

The quantitative research included online surveys with current customers, lapsed customers and prospects. It also measured the Net Promoter Score to assess the likelihood of respondents recommending the two brands. The feedback helped inform Vendi’s overall recommendation on branding.
