Vendi’s brand strategy and communications plan are building interest nationwide

City leaders had hoped for years to buy and revitalize 65 acres of damaged industrial land perched at the confluence of the Mississippi, Black and La Crosse Rivers. With a plan for a vibrant, mixed-use, sustainable waterfront neighborhood and a master developer in place, the Redevelopment Authority of La Crosse, Wisconsin, turned to Vendi. We worked with the project’s renowned architect and developer to create a brand and communications strategy that was as inspired as their vision.

The Vendi team designed the overall branding, including the development of positioning strategy, name, logo, website, collateral and developed a multi-year communications strategy.

Target audiences include investors, developers, businesses and residents. And as with all large-scale developments, a plan for transparent community outreach was important.

The RDA partnered with La Crosse-based Vendi to complete an overall branding effort, including the development of a name, logo, website and other communications. After conducting brand strategy sessions and gathering feedback from city administrators, community members and other key stakeholders, Vendi presented and the RDA unanimously chose the River Point District name and logo.

Goal: National developers, international coverage

The project features a world-class river setting in a vibrant community. But the real inspiration is that it completely transforms waterfront land used for decades as an industry site supporting massive, leaking oil tanks.

Vendi’s messaging appeal balances passion for sustainable development and remarkable economic opportunity.

That message is resonating. PR Newswire ranked target audience engagement from our international awareness launch at 96 out of 100 possible.

At every stage of development, from investment to development to event marketing, Vendi’s robust content marketing, outreach and communications program will drive innovators to The Point.
