Character Lives

Vendi honored for Character Lives campaign

Commitment to community reaps rewards

Vendi Advertising has been recognized for its work on the newly minted Character Lives program with a 2017 Gold Davey Award. The design award is for the integrated campaign which features a logo, landing page and brochure. Vendi provided a portion of the work pro bono as part of its Vendi Share program.

Character Lives promotes servant leadership and is a curriculum being introduced in high schools throughout western Wisconsin. It teaches students the value of kindness, service and empathy. Through the program, students learn how to develop social skills and build character in order to become tomorrow’s leaders.

“We’re pleased to have had a role in launching this important effort,” said Vendi principal Kathy Van Kirk. “Our Vendi Share program is designed to support causes that create a better world, and that’s the ultimate goal of Character Lives. Winning an award with a Vendi Share project gives the team a boost and reinforces our commitment to the program.”

The 16-person agency is one of hundreds worldwide to compete for Davey Awards. The competition is open to small agencies, defined as those with billings of less than $25 million. About 4,000 entries are received annually and are judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.

Stay visible, even in the changing landscape of artificial intelligence

Standing out among hundreds or thousands of Google search results in today’s world of seemingly infinite choices is no small feat.
