Position summary

We are seeking an energetic, experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between the client and agency teams, overseeing the strategic development and execution of brand, marketing and advertising campaigns. You will be responsible for managing key client relationships, ensuring projects are on strategy, on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have prior agency experience, be a creative problem-solver, strategic thinker and excellent communicator. You’ll work closely with creative, web and media teams to ensure client needs are met or exceeded and identify new opportunities to add value and grow our clients’ business.

We require

  • Minimum two years of prior agency experience (in a digital, web, marketing or advertising firm)
  • Experience developing and managing marketing, media and paid digital strategies and plans
  • Ability to provide outstanding client service 
  • Understanding of the creative development process (digital, web, video, print, etc.)
  • Exceptional organization and planning skills with ability to anticipate client and team needs
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Extremely high-level verbal and written communication skills 
  • Effective personal and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or related field

Job expectations

  • Manage strategies, teams, budgets and projects to achieve client goals and objectives
  • Leverage research, data and trends to develop innovative marketing programs

  • Effectively present and sell strategies, plans, analyses and results to agency and client teams
  • Collaborate with other Vendi team members in strategy, planning, brainstorming and campaign development
  • Work closely with creative, web and media colleagues in campaign planning, development and execution to:
    • Develop and manage communication strategies for top brands 
    • Develop and independently manage annual marketing plan calendars and budgets 
    • Create marketing strategies and plans to meet client objectives including brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation, direct sales, thought leadership, events and product or brand launches 
    • Assist in managing website projects
  • Provide timely, same-day responses to agency and client requests
  • Manage projects, teams and timelines to meet client requirements and deadlines 
    • Create project briefs and communicate deliverables to agency team
    • Create assignments in project management software
    • Develop project timelines and monitor schedules to ensure deadlines are met
    • Monitor project scope and prepare change orders as necessary
  • Effectively communicate project status with clients
    • Ensure an agenda and status report are sent prior to client status meetings
    • Provide meeting notes within 24 hours to client and agency team members
  • Assist in onboarding and mentorship of Account Coordinators
  • Master Vendi systems and processes for effective project management 
  • Monitor and manage client budgets and prepare invoices 
  • Create estimates and proposals for clients
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors
  • Represent the agency at public speaking events
