Noticed all of those internet cookie pop-ups?

Here’s why you’re seeing those and what Vendi is doing to guide our clients through GDPR

What is GDPR?

A European regulation known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), implemented in 2018, dictates how data is mined from individuals online. A similar law has been passed in California and new US federal regulations are expected.

How do cookies figure into this?

These new laws require users give consent before ANY cookies inessential to website function are put on their computer. Just putting a cookie notice on your website won’t cut it.

How is Vendi helping clients?

We’re proactively addressing privacy management. By leveraging our technical expertise to educate and prepare our clients, Vendi keeps our clients ahead of the curve in both compliance and data tracking in a new age.

What does this mean for marketers?

We believe these laws are a positive trend because they put more power in the consumers’ hands, but they also mean marketers will have to be more creative. Cookies and data tracking help marketers target users based on terms they’ve searched or sites they’ve visited previously. Without this, marketers have to find new ways to reach the best prospects for their products and services. At Vendi, we’re using our decades of collective experience in digital marketing to created laser-focused targeted campaigns that aren’t reliant on GDPR-restricted data.

Unsure about your website?

We can audit your site for GDPR, technical performance and SEO, and help you make the improvements that count. Let's talk.
