Account Manager

The account manager will have experience and/or education in marketing planning and campaign execution, managing marketing-related projects and building strong relationships.

The ideal candidate would have

  • Robust experience in a digital, web, marketing or advertising environment (agency experience is a plus)
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Exceptional organization and planning skills with great attention to detail
  • Ability to provide outstanding client service and serve as main point of contact between the agency and client
  • Experience in managing marketing, media and paid digital strategies
  • Ability to serve as team member in strategy, planning, brainstorming and campaign development
  • Extremely high-level verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Effective personal and time management skills

This position's responsibilities 

  • Manage projects, teams and timelines to meet client requirements and deadlines
  • Serve as main point of contact between the agency and client
  • Manage systems and processes for effective project management
    • Create project briefs and communicate project tasks and deliverables to agency team
    • Create assignments in project management software
    • Develop project timelines and monitor schedules
    • Monitor project scope and prepare change orders as necessary
    • Prepare meeting agendas, status reports and conference reports
  • Assist in creating marketing strategies and plans to meet client objectives including brand awareness, customer engagement, lead generation, direct sales, thought leadership and product or brand launches
  • Assist in executing marketing communication strategies and plans with clients and agency team
  • Assist in managing website projects
  • Create estimates and proposals for clients, with assistance from account supervisor
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors
  • Manage annual marketing plan calendars
  • Monitor and manage to plan budgets and prepare client invoices
  • Effectively present and sell strategies, plans, analysis and results to agency and client teams
  • Assist in the development and presentation of agency proposals and self-promotion efforts
