Winona State University names
Vendi Advertising agency of record

October 4, 2006 — Winona State University, a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, has named Vendi Advertising its new agency of record.

Vendi, a full-service advertising agency located in La Crosse, was selected over eight other contenders from the Winona, Minneapolis and La Crosse areas.

The agency will provide extensive services in the areas of research, media and creative.

“Vendi offered the right mix of imaginative ideas, capabilities and Winona State University understanding,” said Kerstin Boudreau, Vendi co-owner and research and communications director.

The agency begins research now for a major advertising campaign set to launch region-wide in 2007. “Pinpointing and appealing to the high-achieving high school student in an innovative way is a major focus of this exciting new campaign,” said Boudreau.

Winona State University is located in Winona and also serves higher education needs in Rochester through the Winona State University-Rochester Center. Winona State University was founded in 1858 as the first college in the present system of state universities and the first teacher preparatory school west of the Mississippi River. Students can earn degrees in more than 80 undergraduate academic areas and 16 graduate-level programs.

Boudreau is a graduate of the Winona State University mass communications program.

The college is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, which comprises 32 state universities and community and technical colleges serving the higher education needs of Minnesota. The system serves about 240,000 students per year in credit-based courses and an additional 130,000 students in non-credit courses.
